Rocket Hackett, pronounced similar to the famous New York City dance group the Rockettes, displays an immediate sense of calm and confidence in our special practice. The depth of Rocky’s grace and wonderful presence can’t be summed up in such a short introduction. We are certain that you will immediately sense her incomparable warmth as she welcomes you with her soft voice and glowing smile.
She will often be the one you speak with first when reaching out to us as a new patient, or become accustomed to being welcomed by upon your returning trips to Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. She touches many aspects of our wonderful dental practice, although her true talents shine when she is running the business management side of BSD. When not at the practice, she may often be found out and about the Montgomery County area with one or both of her kids (Madison and Malik) or with her many friends. She spends little time at home, as she is always bopping around the town!
Leah is a wonderful part of our team. She came to us with years of clinical experience in various specialty practices. She not only assists the doctors with your care but is a calming presence for anyone who is nervous about having dental care. Her knowledge and experience, along with her warm smile and gentle reassurance is something that our patients truly appreciate.
Leah hails from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where she loves to hike, and worked as a guide at Garden of the Gods Park. She is an avid lover of nature and animals. During her leisure time, Leah enjoys spending time with her Chihuahua named Mija, and her Schnauzer named Hunter.
Dhara was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. After spending the first part of her life in Chicago, with their frigid winters and sweltering summers, she decided to move east, although her family and loyalty to the White Sox still reside in the Midwest.
Dhara moved to the east coast and received her degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene. Her warmth and compassion as a practitioner of dental hygiene began long before her permanent roots were planted in the hygiene profession here at Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. While in school, she spent free time organizing oral healthcare mission work, assisting underprivileged children with receiving much needed dental care. Her glowing energy can be felt the moment you first meet her!
Although her passion is dental hygiene and oral healthcare education, she still manages to find time to experiment in the kitchen with new recipes and convince her fiancé to try out her daring new culinary creations. She has three siblings including two sisters and a brother, who she is extremely close with. Coming from a sizeable family shows, as she has been a natural fit with our dental family!
I moved to the United States from Bolivia over 20 years ago. I went to college in Rexburg, Idaho and majored in interior design. One summer I took a job at a dental office and to my surprise, found that I became very interested in dentistry and decided to change my career path.
I began as a chair side assistant while undertaking the training necessary to become a full Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. After passing the Board I worked at Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Dental Unit until joining the great team at Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. I am certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and a qualified orthodontic assistant.
I have a teenage son whom I adore and love spending time with friends and family.
Genna grew up in the self-professed great state of New Jersey. Her passion for all things Jersey, and dedication to the dental sciences have made her an instant welcome addition to Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. Her background is in business management and applied health sciences.
Genna’s calming demeanor and gentle presence lend themselves quite well in our passionate dental practice! When she isn’t brightening the day for her patients, she can be found with her puppy Ava and her fiancé Dan. Her interest in cooking and baking routinely keeps us all well fed!
Don’t fault her for being a New York Giants fan! If you’re from the D.C. metro area, you’ll know that being a Giants fan is usually something kept quiet!
