Digital Imaging in Bethesda

At Bethesda Sedation Dentistry, Dr. Klotz and Dr. Schlossberg strive to provide the best in contemporary care.

One way they’re doing that is through digital imaging. Using special digital sensors, they can easily capture detailed images of your teeth and gums, ensuring more accurate care.

By comparison, traditional imaging is time-consuming and inconvenient; it can be hard for doctor and patient to both crowd around a single image. A digital image, on the other hand, takes zero time to develop, is easily stored, and can be annotated to make explaining a patient’s oral health and treatment needs easier.

However, despite the effectiveness of digital imaging, Dr. Klotz and Dr. Schlossberg understand the concerns that some Bethesda patients might have, especially about radiation exposure. The good news is that exposure from digital sensors is much less than, say, a single year’s worth of TV-watching, a five-hour airplane flight, or the amount of radiation we’re naturally exposed to by our surroundings. What’s more, our digital tools are carefully calibrated with your safety and our safety in mind.

All of which means digital imaging is a safe tool that you can depend on to help you improve your oral health.
