Bethesda Sedation Dentistry Featured in ‘Bethesda Magazine’

We are thrilled to announce that our practice, Bethesda Sedation Dentistry, was recently featured in Bethesda Magazine! Authored by Rita Rubin, the article discusses the advantages of using different sedation methods for various dental care services, and it also highlights the unique experiences of a couple patients who have been effectively treated right here in our office by Dr. Deborah Klotz and Dr. Robert Schlossberg.

One story mentioned in the article was that of Daniel Rourke, a man whose bad past experience at the dentist led him to neglect professional teeth cleanings for some 25 years. Despite his reservations about visiting the dentist, a severe toothache and a testimonial regarding our practice’s understanding of people’s reluctance to receive dental care brought him to Bethesda Sedation Dentistry. Selecting from the multiple sedation techniques offered at our practice, Daniel chose to have his procedure performed under IV sedation, an option that can help ease the nerves of patients without rendering them unconscious.

During the procedure, Dr. Schlossberg was able to successfully extract Daniel’s infected wisdom tooth while safely monitoring his blood oxygen level due to a preexisting irregular heartbeat. All said and done, Daniel notes that he has no recollection of the treatment – a side effect for which he is happy – and he no longer needs any form of sedation when visiting our dentists as a result of his positive experience.
